Ben loves poking Riley (our golden retriever) in the eyes...so to distract him we asked him to show us his different parts of the body, it's pretty funny. We like when he shows us his head...nothing like smacking yourself upside the head :) Enjoy!

Mommy's Little Helper

Ben loves to help me clean-up. Whenever he sees any type of paper towel, wipe, etc. he will pretend he is wiping up messes. We took this picture after dinner and I had been cleaning the kitchen, Ben wanted to help...what a good boy!!

15 Month Check-up

After all of the holiday festivities were over, we had to take Ben in for his 15 month check-up. We never look forward to going to the doctor...but at least it was for a wellness visit :) Ben is still growing quickly, which most of us know because he never stops eating. He is just shy of 27 lbs. and he is 33 1/2 inches tall. He was such a trooper with his shots, you could tell he tried to hold the tears in but just couldn't...pulls at moms heart strings :( But he was happy at the end because he got an Elmo sticker (the kid behind us got a Shrek sticker and we almost had a brawl..haha) Ben is so fun at this age he says a hand full of words like, momma, dad, poppa, NONO!, nighnight, hi!, byebye, SHREK, Pablo, football, and a few more that I'm sure I will think of later. He loves playing with his train table and he makes us watch some sort of Shrek movie at least once a day! He goes to the refrigerator when he is hungry, which helps me know he is not just whining :) He is back to enjoying brushing his teeth...mostly I think because he gets to look at himself in the mirror. Some days Greg and I just can't believe where the time has gone and what happened to our baby boy, who is now a little boy. We are still enjoying every second of it!

Ben's newest obsession is with The Wiggles! Jaclynn played them on her computer and all the kids were in a trance...then Maddy got inspired to dance, they are so cute together :)

Happy New Year and what a way to ring it in...with about 10 inches of snow! Ben actually enjoyed his first time playing in the snow on New Years day...during half-time of the U of M game Greg took Ben out and let him play. He didn't like being in the deep snow in the yard but after a little bit he liked playing in the driveway with the snow on the sides. However I do have to add that he complained about be outside in the cold at all at first (guess he is like his mom and would rather be on the beach!)

As a family we have had such a wonderful 2007 that we are truly looking forward to 2008. Ben is turning in to such a little person that it is hard to believe he was only 3 months old a year ago. We have been blessed with such wonderful friends close by and far away and we look forward to all the changes occurring in their lives this year to come (new babies, moves, etc.) So here's to a new year and lets hope it doesn't go by as fast this year!

This year we enjoyed a wonderful holiday season spending time with our families and close friends. We started off the festivities with a gathering at Jason and Jaclynn's house for our 2nd Annual gift exchange. We had a great time, despite the fact The Clapper made it into the gifts again this year :) The rest of the time we spent with my parents,Greg's parents and extended family. We are very fortunate to live close to our families and that we are able to enjoy the holiday's all together. Greg and I were even lucky enough to sneak away for a day to enjoy some skiing with Danny and Nichole.
